Who is the Birth Trail Circle For?
The Birth Trail Circle is a 12 week small group journey combining prenatal yoga, birth education, somatic practices, and community.
Rather than trying to learn everything about birth in one weekend, we'll take our time. We gather weekly to move, learn, reflect, connect, and prepare for birth together.
Each week becomes like returning to the trailhead. You leave the busyness of life, gather with the same women, move your body, learn something new about birth, regulate your nervous system, and head home feeling a little more prepared than the week before with a little more trust in yourself.
Prenatal Yoga -
Movement designed for your changing body.
Birth Education -
Practical education woven naturally into each week’s theme.
Somatics and Nervous System Support -
Tools for feeling grounded, connected, and safe.
Community -
A small circle of women walking a similar season of pregnancy together.
“The trail isn’t about following one perfect route. It’s about becoming familiar with the terrain and learning to trust yourself along the way.”

You don’t need to know the entire trail before you begin.
You only need to take the next step.
We’ll learn the terrain together.
-
The Birth Trail Circle is a 12-week small-group prenatal yoga and birth preparation journey for women in the second half of pregnancy.
Each week we weave together prenatal yoga, birth education, breathwork, somatic practices, reflection, and conversation. The goal is to slowly build knowledge, confidence, and a collection of tools you can carry with you into birth.
Rather than a crash course in childbirth, we take the time to learn and prepare as your pregnancy unfolds while also taking time to move our bodies.
-
The Circle is designed for pregnant women who are 20-28 weeks pregnant at the start of The Circle who want a more intentional and connected approach to preparing for birth.
You do not need to have practiced yoga before, and you do not need to know exactly what you want your birth to look like.
You simply need to come with curiosity and a willingness to explore.
-
The Circle is designed so that women can join during the second or third trimester, with an effort to keep each cohort within a relatively similar stage of pregnancy.
If you’re unsure whether the current Circle is a good fit for your due date, you’re welcome to reach out before registering.
-
Each 90-minute gathering includes:
Prenatal yoga and mindful movement
Birth education woven into the weekly theme
Breathwork and nervous system practices
Somatic meditation
Weekly mantra or reflection
Space for questions and conversation
Some weeks will also include special educational experiences with trusted local birth professionals.
-
The journey moves through themes including:
Creating safety and trust
Connecting with your baby
Pelvic mobility and preparing your body
Understanding the stages of labor
Breath and coping with contractions
Partner support and comfort measures
Preparing for the pushing phase
Pelvic floor and birth preparation
Breastfeeding and early postpartum
Preparing emotionally for the transition into motherhood
Your birth vision and approaching the threshold
Reflection, blessing, and becoming
The themes may shift slightly from one Circle to the next as the needs of the group unfold.
-
It’s birth education woven into a broader prenatal experience.
We will talk about how birth works, the stages of labor, comfort measures, pushing, postpartum, and other important topics, but we won’t try to cover every possible scenario or replace a comprehensive childbirth education course.
The intention is to help you develop a deeper understanding of birth slowly and meaningfully, alongside movement, reflection, and community.
-
Not at all.
This is prenatal yoga, not a performance or fitness class. Movements are adapted for pregnancy and offered with options so you can work with your body as it is that day.
You are always encouraged to listen to your body and modify or rest whenever needed. Meet yourself where you are.
-
You are absolutely welcome.
Birth preparation isn’t only about preparing for a vaginal birth. The Circle is about understanding birth, connecting with your body and baby, developing tools for navigating uncertainty, and preparing emotionally for becoming a parent.
Your path may look different from someone else’s, and there is room for that here.
-
There will be one dedicated partner gathering during the 12-week Circle where partners will learn practical comfort measures and ways to support you during labor.
The rest of the Circle is intentionally designed as a space for the pregnant women themselves.
-
Yes. Throughout the 12 weeks, we may welcome trusted local professionals to share specialized birth education, such as pelvic floor therapy, chiropractic care, lactation, or other relevant topics.
These conversations are woven into the Circle rather than feeling like separate lectures.
-
The Birth Trail Circle is a 12-week commitment and does not offer drop-in registration.
Each gathering builds upon the one before it, and the intention is to create a consistent, connected group that can walk the journey together.
You’re not signing up for twelve individual yoga classes. You’re joining a twelve-week journey.
-
I understand that pregnancy and life don’t always follow a perfect schedule.
Because the Circle is a group journey, your place remains reserved for the entire 12-week series even if you need to miss a gathering. When possible, I’ll provide a simple way to stay connected to that week’s theme.
-
Each cohort is intentionally kept small so there is space for connection, conversation, and individual attention.
Enrollment is limited to [6–8] participants.
-
No. They are two separate offerings.

Each has its own schedule and registration process.
If you’re looking for the deeper, ongoing experience of walking the trail with the same group, The Birth Trail Circle is the place to begin.
-
